Autumn Lake

This was such a fun piece to create today.  I could stare at nature scenes for hours, and this one is a shameless CASE of Michelle Zindorf's "Gotta Love Autumn" card.  I would never have thought to use mustard ink for the water, but it is just right.

It's going on the wall in my stamping room!  Woo hoo!

Winter Migration

This card front uses the same trees from the last post, but with a totally different result.  I love how it captures the silent stillness of a cold night.  I owe credit to Michelle Zindorf for the idea.  She is an AMAZING stamp artist; check out her work here.  A-MA-ZINGGG!

Watercolor Fun!

For my birthday, my sweet husband gave me a wonderful set of watercolor pencils to play with.  YES!  They are so much fun!  :)  The textured brown piece behind the bird image is made by running a piece of Chocolate Chip cardstock through my Cuttlebug embossing machine, using Stampin' Up!'s Square Lattice embossing folder.  I love the basketweave texture it gives.  Along with the twisted fibers in the corner, it reminds me of a bird's nesting material.

Nature's Symphony

This might just be my Valentine's Day card this year.  I am loving how romantic and elegant this sponged card is!  I might try it with a background of French script instead of musical score... although I like how this turned out too.  It has a rich depth to it somehow.  4 colors of ink... Pretty in Pink, Rose Red, Cherry Cobbler, and Soft Suede.  Stamp sets used:  Musical Score background stamp, Hand Penned Holidays (sentiment), Inspired by Nature (echinacea flower).  All products are Stampin' Up!  Techniques:  emboss resist, sponging.
I like this even better!  This uses the background stamp "En Francais."  LOVE IT!

Cute gift card holder

HOW FUN IS THIS?!  Check it out; you pull out the cute insert and there is a place to either write a message or adhere a gift card for someone to enjoy.  How cute is that?!  It's not my idea; I got the inspiration from Andrea Walford at Papercrafter's Library.
I love her work because she pays such attention to detail.  SO CUTE!

I used the Play Date designer paper from Stampin' Up! along with some red satin ribbon from Michael's, and I love how it turned out.  A great "thank you" gift for those parent volunteers in your classroom - if you're a teacher like me!  :)

Valentine's Treat Pouch

It's that time of year again, and this time I am determined to do some fun Valentine's Day projects!  This one is super easy and quick, which is all the better for me because report cards are due soon and I am WAY behind!  Just some little Hershey's nuggets wrapped in Avery address labels that have been stamped with the "It's a Wrap Holidays" stamp set.  FUN!  Now I'm off to get groceries... can't sit behind my stamping table all day, I guess!
