Altered Clipboard

This evening's project was to create a clipboard that I can use to collect future sign-ups when I hold workshops and make & takes.  I really like how it turned out, all black and white with a bold, graphic design and that little pop of bright red!  The ribbons are from my stash and are not SU, but the paper and candy dots are two of my favorite current products.  I would probably buy multiple packs of that Back to Black DSP, just for this one pattern, LOL!  I love how bold and organic it is.

Because of the metal clip at the top, the paper would not fit all the way up to the top of the board... so I just colored the exposed top part of the board with a black Sharpie.  Worked pretty well!  Sticky strip holds the paper in place forever, and I made sure to put it all the way to the edges and corners of the DSP so that it won't begin to curl up at the edges.  A red pen is all this cutie needs!  Hope you enjoyed this quick and easy project.  It's a great way to be able to enjoy your favorite DSP pattern all day long!  :D

Altered Cassette Case = Business Card Holder

I saw this cute idea on Pinterest, and thought it would be fun for my new business cards.  It took me about 5 minutes to put together, and it really holds them perfectly!

I did blur out some of my more personal information because this blog is completely public, but you can always contact me by posting a comment here or through my Stampin' Up! website here.  :D

For this project I used Lost Lagoon and Pear Pizzazz cardstock, All is Calm DSP, silver glimmer paper, and a rhinestone.  The flowers are punched out with the Petite Petals punch and the flower from the retired Itty Bitty Punch Pack.  I stuck the panels to the cassette case with Sticky Strip to make sure they really held.

A quick and easy project, and I'm sure we all have a few of those cassette cases lying around that we no longer use, ha ha!  Have a great day!

Curvy Keepsake Box

Aren't these little boxes fun?!  I'm really enjoying all the different things you can do with the Curvy Keepsake Box die.  I've seen people make penguins, cats, Frankenstein, you name it!  They're so cute for giving little treats to your coworkers, or for putting next to people's plates at a dinner party.  Another elegant thing you can do with these is to dry emboss the panels BEFORE sticking them together.  Once the two pieces are stuck together, they will not fit through the Big Shot.  But if you dry emboss each half first, then they make a beautiful, textured element to add to any wedding or party favor collection.  Enjoy!
